How to Become a Public Adjuster in Florida
A public adjuster is a licensed professional who represents homeowners and businesses — not insurance companies — in property damage claims. We inspect damage, document losses, prepare estimates, negotiate with carriers, and fight for maximum settlements. Think of us as the policyholder's advocate in a system designed to minimize payouts.
Step 1: Complete a Florida-approved 40-hour All-Lines adjuster course. Step 2: Apply for a 6-20 All-Lines adjuster license through FL DFS. Step 3: Complete a 6-month holding period. Step 4: Pass the 3-20 Public Adjuster exam. Total cost is approximately $710. We help our team members through every step of this process.
No. Florida does not require a college degree to become a licensed public adjuster. Many successful adjusters come from construction, military, real estate, law enforcement, and other backgrounds.
